We are glad to inform you that the IEEE WIE Ottawa Affinity Group is the winner of the 2020 IEEE WIE Canada Group of the Year Award for Large Sections. This award is given to an IEEE WIE Affinity Group that has shown outstanding leadership and initiative in organizing activities. It is a certification that IEEE WIE Ottawa has demonstrated outstanding activities and hosted high-quality events throughout the year. For the first time in the history, IEEE WIE Ottawa has won the IEEE Canada and the IEEE international Group of the Year Award, both in the same year! IEEE WIE Ottawa team is led by Anastassia Gharib, a PhD Candidate at Sensor Systems and Internet of Things Lab, Carleton University. All IEEE WIE Ottawa team members are graduates and students of both Carleton University and University of Ottawa. IEEE WIE Ottawa would like to thank everyone for the constant support.
